Carol is a local, having been born and bred in Cookham. She started as a Saturday girl at Clippers, the hairdressing salon across the road from Elizabeth House. She did her apprenticeship there. Her City & Guilds training was done on day release at Langley College and Carol passed her exams in 1984.

Carol moved away from Cookham for 7 years but when she came back she set herself up as a self-employed hairdresser. She first came to work at Elizabeth House in 2013 and has been with us ever since. In addition to this, Carol provides hairdressing services at 2 local care homes.

Derry Locke
Derry Locke has gained more than 20 years’ experience of working as a podiatrist In Australia and the UK, since graduating from the University of New South Wales with a BSc in Podiatry in 2000.

Derry is a registered podiatrist/chiropodist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a Member of the Royal College of Podiatry. He has extensive experience in all aspects of foot health from general nail care, to nail surgery, wound care and management of lower limb complications for people with a number of conditions, including diabetes.
​
Derry has practiced for the past 19 years in the NHS within Berkshire and has been with Elizabeth House Cookham for fifteen years, whilst also offering a service to the wider community in local private practice and nursing/care homes and people’s own homes.
​
Throughout his career, Derry has kept up to date with the latest practices and regulations in podiatry as well as continuing his own professional development through regular training courses, including post-graduate studies in ‘the diabetic foot’.
Tuesdays 8.00am to mid-afternoon
£28 per 30 minute session for Elizabeth House Members.
