April 2025 - New President
Our current President, the Lady Aurelia Young, has decided that it is time that she handed over the role of President to a successor. Aurelia has been our President for the past 10 years and during that time she has been a marvellous supporter. She has spent a lot of time at Elizabeth House, being hands on, chatting with members, helping staff and volunteers in the daily running of the Day Centre. She has been a wonderful advocate of Elizabeth House in our community and she, along with her family, have been very generous in hosting garden parties to show appreciation of the work and commitment of our volunteers and staff. She has always shown care and consideration in respect of everyone involved with Elizabeth House. So we are saying farewell to Aurelia …….BUT we are now saying hello to our new President.
Our new President will be Mandy Brar. Mandy has been a long time supporter of Elizabeth House in her personal capacity as a resident of Cookham. She also has a record of public service, having been a Parish Councillor and an RBWM Councillor since 2019. She is currently the RBWM Councillor responsible for Elizabeth House, having taken over that specific role from Gerry Clark, and has attended management meetings with the Trustees. She is, of course, the Deputy Mayor of the Borough. We are delighted that she accepted to take on the role of President.

The official handover of the role of President will take place at the AGM on 14th July 2025.
