Elizabeth House Talks take place on the second Monday of the month at Bel & The Dragon. They showcase the talents of people living in Cookham and its environs and have raised £6,089 since they started in February 2015.
Our talks resume in September:
- 11 September – Kevin Brooke, general manager, Cliveden
- 09 October Tom Copas, turkey farmer
- 13 November – Derek Always, adventuring aviator
- 11 December – Brian Clews, local wildlife expert
Everyone is welcome. Arrive 6.30 for Prosecco and canapés and the talks start at 7pm. Tickets are £17.50 and can be obtained Monday to Friday 9am-3pm from Elizabeth House or reserved by email to email@example.com
Notice is hereby given of the annual general meeting to take place at Elizabeth House on Wednesday, 21 June 2017 at 7pm. All members welcome.
Nominations for election to the Executive Committee must be in the hands of the secretary of the committee at least 14 days before the AGM. Should nominations exceed the number of vacancies, election shall be by ballot.
Come and join us on Thursday 29 June at the Royal British Legion Hall, Station Approach, Marlow SL7 1NT for an exciting evening of classic big band swing music with The BBO Big Band. The 20 piece band is made up of both a male and female vocalist, five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones and a rhythm section comprising of piano, guitar, bass and drums. The Band was formed in 1986 and has been playing classic big band swing music to raise funds for local charities and good causes for more than 30 years.

Tickets for the concert at Taplow Court is presented by The Cookham Bridge Rotary Club, cost £20 and will be available from June at Elizabeth House and The Stationery Depot in Cookham. T
Doors open at 4.30pm and the concert starts at 5pm. Elizabeth House is organising transport departing Station Parade (subject to availability) for tickets bought from there.
