39 members, staff and volunteers braved the rain for a Thames boat trip between Runneymede and Windsor, with cream tea on board. Some went by coach and some on a People to Places minibus.
On the boat, the sun shone and members listened to a commentary about the river and the houses on its banks. They passed through Old Windsor lock, through Datchet and up to the castle.
When they were ready to disembark, the heavens opened and although some got caught in the downpour, members were all smiling on the coach and still talking about the trip the next day.
“Our thanks to French Brothers, People to Places and PPH coaches, and also to generous benefactors who donate to Elizabeth House specifically for trips like this”, said manager Miriam Blazey. “We look forward to taking more members on another trip soon.”
